Tahoe City Electric GMC
My brother saw Debi’s art work on display up in Tahoe and enquired about a having a commissioned painting done of my vintage GMC
She journeyed up to Tahoe to do a photo shoot of my 19—GMC in various locations around the lake.
It was a very pleasant afternoon and she took hundreds of photographs…,. so not only do I have a beautiful painting of my truck but I also have lots great photos from our days work.
My wife and I really love the painting, it is far more impressive than the photograph she worked from, she altered the background which enhanced the mood and covered the concrete road with snow like a typical early fall season in Tahoe.
Saddle Up
We just adore Debi and her beautiful artwork. Such inspiring personality and amazing artwork.
We are the proud owners of the piece saddle up, I modeled for a cowgirl themed piece then my family decided to purchase the art as a surprise gift for me and my husband.
We are now great friends with Debi and are always are excited to see her new art work, and celebrate her continuing success as an artist.
I was fortunate to stumble across Debi’s portfolio following a query for artists based in San Francisco. Her style and subject matter were immediately compelling. I was particularly struck be her collection of oils on board of old, rusting trucks. There is detail, but not so much that it looks like it’s “trying” too hard. But the real value in using Debi was her innate ability to understand precisely what I was looking for in my piece. My painting involved a city scape of sorts with a view of the Sunset and Ocean Beach. Debi made several visits to the site, both with and without me. She used a professional photographer to ensure the best views and pictures to work with. I was struck by the amount of forethought and preparation that Debi undertook for my project. As the work progressed, Debi was exceptional in her communication. On several occasions she suggested different tactics, whether colors or actual content, which enhanced what would become the final piece. I had the painting commissioned because I wanted it to inspire me. The painting hangs in my office and I see it every day. And every day, I am, indeed, inspired. I love it.
Triangles
“This girl has got quite a gift, the painting she created of me really looks exactly like me -it’s quite amazing!
When debi asked me to model for her I was so honored. We had been good friends for while and since she was familiar with my character she told me that her goal was to capture my personality.
‘Triangles’ -Yep that’s me alright hanging out on a San Francisco doorstep contemplating life, creating lyrics in my head for my next song, praying, chilling being at peace. My stage name is Seasons I do not own the original painting but I shall be using it as part of my design for my album cover and promotional stuff” Ashley aka seasons
“I commissioned Debi to create an oil painting of my kids as a surprise family Christmas gift . Debi worked from an old photograph of my children.
The Dream Chamber
This piece was commissioned by an art lover for a San Francisco art based event he was organizing. The illustration I created was used as promotional material for the ‘call for submissions’ for the event called the dream chamber, which will included film, photography, and painting that based upon dreams or inspired by dreams. Alongside the flyer the images was used on their website and also to inspire artists to participate in the project and attract a public interest.
The concept for the flyer was based upon a wonderful visual idea/concept my client had. “A group of friends find a cave with a strange crystal formation that allows them to enter each others dreams. The main part of the flyer would be the three friends asleep viewed from above – blended together with visions from their the dream world they share.”
We discussed going back in time in our dream worlds, and decided to include subtle faint visual elements indicating time passing, a vintage clock and celtic patterns surround the three friends.
Conquistador Helmut
This was an interesting and fun commissioned piece.I was contacted by a client that was looking for a period style portrait of himself featured as a Spanish conquistador. So I suggested that I painted in a technique that resembled the old masters, like Rembrandt
So the style I suggested was one with heavy light and shadow contrasts typical of Vermeer painting , and I worked with a friend who is involved with battle re-enactment, hence own many authentic looking noble costumes.
I also worked with a professional photographer in his studio to get the correct intense lighting. So my client walked away with a disc full of portrait images in various costumes and a beautiful oil masterpiece.

Portraits of Youth
I was emotionally overwhelmed when she presented me with my oil painting so much so my eyes teared up. I love my painting so realistic yet painterly. It is hung in our main living area where we can enjoy it everyday.” Ina Sabah
Sunset Honeymoon
“My wife and I both love the painting you made from the photo. It is like we went to a museum and saw a famous painting and we’re in it.”

Capone’s Last Stand, was commissioned by a gentle man whom I was introduced to through an interior designer at the Rubicon Collection in Tahoe city.
I visited my clients Marin office to get a visual of the wall space and also discuss creative ideas concerning the atmosphere he was aiming to create.
My client is quite knowledgeable when it comes to vintage motors, and he really enjoyed my attention to detail and accurate representation.
After viewing some of my visual ideas we decided upon a 5t by 3ft painting of a 30’s Chevy located in the ghost town of Bodie,. It’s a real moody piece with heavy shadowing falling across the foreground and evokes the notion of an adventurous gangster past.
Carson Steam
Commissioned by Spirit Interior Design located up in Lake Tahoe, C.A.
Their clients had already purchased two oil pieces from my Vintage collection, and inspired by the theme decided to commission a large 6ft by 4ft oil painting of a steam train to be hung in their main living space in Truckee.
I love to work closely with my clients creative visions, incorporating personal taste and style, with this project I felt that it was important to visit my clients home and get an visual of the styling and color scheme.
I visited Carson cities train museum to do a photo shoot of some vintage steam trains. The image I decided to paint was of a train that actually used to travel up to Truckee along the tracks that my clients house over overlooks.
The Gallop
‘I was given a hundred plus photographs of my clients horses and their southern Californian ranch.
My commission challenge was to choose and combine a number images to create a serene scenic oil painting of my clients horses trotting and cantering across their ranch with a distant home in the background. My Clients loved the painting and also bought two other oils from my vintage collection
Summer Days
A parent contacted me to re-create a snap shot they had of their daughter on a summer holiday.
Mermaid Mural
Commissioned to create a 5ft by 3ft black light reflective children’s mural with a theme of a tropical underwater scene. I created some cute cartoon fish and a mermaid character to resemble the little girls who’s wall the art would be displayed upon. Once the preliminary character sketches got approved by my client I began to create the underwater composition.
The idea is that friendly happy bright fish surrounds the mermaid; she interacts and dances in the water with them. They are all inquisitive and come to say hello
Even though the project was far more labor intensive that predicted the end result turned out exactly how I had envisioned it so i was extremely happy . The textured detailed fished jumped out from the canvas and the bubbles were subtle and could only be detected under the black light. My clients seemed very excited when I revealed the work.

Mural for Indian Clay Oven in San Francisco
Color is an intricate and symbolic part of the lifestyle in India,
We choose to work with a rich warm paint pallet, using colors that are celebrated and found in rich spices used in traditional Indian cuisine.
The mural design depicts a simple romantic love story told though a series of eight trompe L’oeil style golden archways with a continuing landscape that links the mural story together.
Symbolic elements are used through out the artwork such as peacocks symbolizing grace and pride, lotus flowers symbolizing peace, tranquility and purity.
The couple rejoice in nature and the changing seasons during their courtship and unity.
Spanish Colonial Ceiling Panels
I was hired by a mural artist Morgan (www.muralsbymorgan.com) to help her create and replicate antique looking Ceiling Panels for a client in California. We used a combination of stencils that Morgan custom designed for the project and lots of steady detailed hand painting with subtle layers of distressing on each panel of the 50 panels
The room truly looked spectacular once finished and put into place, and the clients were extremely impressed with the final result.
